ABOUT DR STEPHEN FRANKS

Stephen has a professional, patient and caring manner and is well liked by his patients and trusted by his colleagues.

Dr Franks graduated in Dentistry from University College Hospital London in 1990 (GDC number: 66155) and has practiced as a dentist in the UK and abroad. Stephen has received extensive implant training including a year long certificate course under the International Team for Implantology, a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology at Bristol University and advanced training in guided bone regeneration under Prof. Danny Buser, the world leader in this field, at the University of Bern.

Stephen enjoys teaching. He used to be a restorative clinical teacher at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental School and a clinical teacher for the MSc Programme in Dental Implantology at The University of Central Lancashire. He was recently appointed as an approved training mentor by Straumann.

Stephen excels at complex treatment planning, rebuilding dentitions at an advanced stage of disrepair. He spent eight years at a leading specialist dental centre, looking after patients referred for their complex and challenging dental treatments before focusing his clinical practice on the field of dental implantology, attending several practices as an implantologist.

Stephen has a professional, patient and caring manner and is well liked by both his patients and his colleagues.

ITIAll of his treatment protocols are evidence based, following the recommendations and philosophy of the International Team for Implantology. Stephen audits all of his surgical cases and achieves very high success rates.

Patient Care Coordinator for Dr Stephen Franks

Katey’s role is to take care of Stephen’s implant patients to ensure that you are looked after throughout your entire implant journey. She is the first point of contact for anything you may require relating to the dental implant process, as well as being available to answer any questions that you may have (other than appointment scheduling and financial arrangements which are managed within the practice). 

Katey’s dental career started in 2005 as a dental nurse. She quickly ventured into dental practice management and patient care coordination, and has been focusing on this area ever since. Katey has always had a keen interest in dental implantology, and she regularly attends CPD training in order to keep abreast of current techniques and treatment concepts.
